Catch up !!

We said goodbye to the Harley. It was sold and out of our garage in 2 hours. :) :(

We went to the splash pad on thursday for book club and Caleb slipped while trying to catch up to some other kids and slit his chin. We ended up with 7 stitches. He was so brave and didn't even cry through it all but Jason said he almost fainted. The doctor gave him two prizes. Now Cassi has a sympathy scratched up chin from crashing on her bike which she wouldn't let me take a picture of.

Cassi can now ride her bike without training wheels. Nice job!

Cassi is now in tumbling here is her famous back bend. She can kick over with her head on the ground which she is very proud of, she can also do a front hand spring with a rust landing. My little mans in the background showing off his muscles. He says when he grows up he's going to be Jacob from the whole Twilight, New Moon books/movies.

Our squash plant is taking over.... we are growing new grass where are pine trees use to be hence the big grassy weedy mess in the front of the buttercup squash plant.

My brothers and our families went up to Silver Lake which is in Big Cottonwood Canyon and had a picnic. It was fun though a little scary with moose running around. The girls and kids walked around the lake while the boys went fishing at a lake up the trail. Jason took the camera and I only got one picture of the trail. It's at the very top. The cousins had lots of fun playing together and they all liked getting there picture taken except Zack. Well I guess that's not totally true the older cousins went wandering around so I didn't get any pictures of them either.

Brynn / Disneyland

Brynn is getting so big and I haven't blogged anything about her so here are a few pictures of her first cereal. She is seriously the best baby. In Disneyland she loved the characters their is a picture with her and Minnie (which is on Tiffany's camera so I can't show it) but is she smiling almost laughing at Minnnie Mouse. She was wonderful on are trip. We were able to do so many fun thing like lunch with the Princesses and the boys saw the Jedi show training thing and Caleb got a Jedi outfit which is so cute on him. Lots of people came up to us saying how cute he was. Some girls even ask to take pictures with him and Regan Tiffany little boy. We went on so many rides California Screaming was my favorite it is a roller coaster that is fast and goes upside down. It was a long ride home and it ended in snow which made it longer. But I am glad to be home and safe. I will have to post more picture when I get them.

I can't believe how the time flies. Brynn is now 2 months and is full of smiles but none on camera. Cassidy is loving school in parent teacher conference her teacher told me she is a joy in class and very bright. She loves to draw pictures, color, cut, and glue. I have gotten in so much trouble for throwing pictures away. Caleb has done some funny things lately he makes up stories about animals eating each other I guess to much discovery channel. He also said to me the other night, "I'm going to fight crime mom." Then said, "What's crime?" I gave him some toast with butter and went to do something with Brynn when I came back the whole stick of butter was on the toast. He said I wanted the big butter mom.

So, I am a horrible blogger which I knew from the start but now I am going to attempt a very condensed version of our summer. So here are some highlights from the summer which went by way too fast.
Caleb's broken arm ( Boys, will be boys and trampolines)

Cassidy's Birthday

I just wanted to show some pictures from Cassidy's Birthday. We were going to go to Chucky Cheese but Cassidy got sick with a terrible flu bug that ended up going through the whole family. Grandma Barrows got her this adorable dress in the picture and we made party hat cupcakes and Cassidy just had to have a cake so we made a little heart cake so that she could blow out the candles. Jason and I probably sang her Happy Birthday at least 5 times if not more so she could blow out the candles again and again. She got a lot of fun stuff including a Hananah Montana Barbie that sings "I got nerve". Which Cassidy and Caleb wouldn't stop playing(don't you love grandma toys) but by the end of it we had a dance routine to the song. I can't believe how the time flies, Cassidy will be going to Kindergarden this coming fall. We also have exciting news, Jason will be going to U of U Pharmacy school in the fall, we feel truely blessed and know that the Lord is continually watching over us. I am also pregnant and will be having a baby in September. I am not looking forward to being pregnant all through the summer with no central air. Hopefully we will be able to do something about that soon. We got central air. Hooray!!

I just took these pictures around Christmas time but I never got to putting them on. We hope that you all had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! This year was great and full of memories. I will just share a few quick stories starting with Caleb. Caleb has so much energy he is running around doing somersaults, jumping off the bed ( or anything he can), acting like pretty much any super hero; at the moment Ironman, Batman, or Darthvater, and for the most part is a happy go lucky kid. One of my favorite stories about Caleb was having him discover his body. Glenda, Braylee, and Lilly came on vacation here last summer which was so much fun. While they were here they learned just how much Caleb loved playing with balls (football, basketball, soccer, etc.) he would refuse to wear shirts unless they had some sort of sports team or ball on them. So one day when I was changing his diaper he discovered that he had two balls down there of his own and was very excited about it. So he comes running out of the bedroom yelling I have two balls right here. My sister and her kids and Jason's aunt and her kids were there to witness the discovery that Caleb made of his balls. After that he would constantly be telling people about his discovery because he was so excited about it. Luckily it only lasted a short time and he stopped telling everyone but we got a kick out of it.
Cassidy is my little princess. She loves to dance, spin, twirl, jump, get her nails done, have tea parties, going to preschool, and play with her brother, she is mommy's little helper. Cassidy is extremely scared of Santa she wouldn't sit on his lap or even be in the same room with him present. One day I went to pick Cassie up from preschool and she immediately came to get in the car which is very unusually she will usually play with her classmate and I will have to threaten her to get in the car. So we get in and I ask how her day went and she got upset but wouldn't talk about it. Cassidy will always ask what the agenda is for the next day so when I would tell her about going to preschool she would get upset and start crying. Come to find out her teacher was doing a count down to when Santa was coming and so she was scared Santa was coming that day. What can I say my kids don't do well with grown ups in costumes. As you could see with Spiderman maybe Chucky Cheese isn't such a good idea for Cassidy's birthday.
Jason and I have been in school most of the year. Jason is graduating this spring with his bachelors in health administration services which he is so looking forward too. I am hopefully graduating at the end of the summer this year. Jason has been put in the Sunday School presidency and I am now in the Young Women's with the Beehives which has been fun. Jason just interviewed withe U of U School of Pharmacy and we are anxiously waiting to see if he has been accepted or not. We'll keep you posted.

So Halloween is Cassidy's favorite holiday, she asks us at least once a day what we are going to be for Halloween, when I say every day I mean every single day of the year. This year has been so exciting for Caleb because he's caught some of Cassidy's "Halloween Spirit" and has also been asking everyone what they are going to be for Halloween. So since Uncle Cody is going to be out of town on Halloween he decided it would be neat to come in his costume and surprise the kids with a Halloween treat, this is what happened:

We were surprised this morning to find that we had about 4 inches of snow on the ground when we woke up. I can't believe that its already snowed, aren't the leaves supposed to fall off the trees first? In any case the kids love it. If we let her, Cassidy would spend the whole day outside playing (and eating) the snow.

Jason vs. Garage Door

Okay this is our exciting weekend adventure; it all started on Thursday when Bridget couldn't get the garage door down so I decided to see what the heck was going on. Low and behold one of the runners had worn out to the point that it had slipped into one of the holes on the track. So I decided I'd pound it with a hammer for bit but it still didn't come loose. So I decided that I would loosen the bracket the wheel was attached to and see if it would come free that way. I thought that I had it loose enough so that we could at least lift the door and pull the cars in for the night, so I had my aunt Heather hit the switch and sure enough the door started to go up but the roller was still jammed in the track which created a whole lot of tension on the cable and after enough tension was built up the roller finally gave way and my face happened to be in the way as it came loose. As luck would have it the roller missed my eye but broke my nose and gave me some good lacerations on my nose and eye lid. Bridget was such a trooper in keeping me calm at the hospital I would have probably been freaking out a lot more than I did if she wasn't their to help. Thanks Honey! Lesson Learned: Always ask for help when it comes to garage doors and if you ever need to go to the ER call Bridget, she'll get you there in a jiffy.

1. I sing the wrong lyrics to songs. Jason is always telling me the right ones but it usually doesn't help. Hey I like to sing along but don't know all the words.
2. I fidget a lot out of habit. I am always wriggling my foot or twitting my thumbs.
3. I forget other peoples children at school hopefully this is a one time quirk.
4. If I'm really tired I will fall asleep in mid-sentence even if I'm sitting up talking to you, my sisters and Jase make fun of me for it all the time.
5. I tend to leave my yogurt caps on the counter with the good intention of turning it into the Breast Cancer Awareness program but they end up staying there weeks on end until Jason gets fed up with the clutter and throws them away.
6. I like to go to sleep first. So if I have an assignment that runs late into the night, Jason has to stay up with me until it is finished. I'm so mean.

So this morning at 7:00 we were laying in bed and Caleb starts screaming hysterically, so Bridget got up to see what the deal was then she started screaming hysterically at me to get up and call Poison Control. So I asked her what had happened and evidently Caleb had gotten into some topical anti-fungal medicine and had it in his eyes. So I am frantically looking for the number for poison control on the fridge and couldn't find it so I end up calling work to get it from the pharmacy; thankfully he was alright, Bridget flushed his eyes out and everything turned out alright.

Here are a few pictures that Cassidy took all by herself and one of her all in pink, she dresses herself and changes several times a day - that's probably why I have so much laundry. I was so impressed with how well she did with the camera now she will just take the camera and I will find random picture - she needs her own camera.

So I have had this blog for a while now but because of some confusion in setting it up I forgot my g-mail account and my password. So it has taken me Forever to start this blog and who knows what will happen next. I will try to be good. So a lot of stuff has been going on including Super Saturday, Cassidy starting school again, Jason and me starting school and all the small things in between that I don't remember. Having super Saturday over is such a relief Jason refers to it as Stupid Saturday because I am always doing things at the last minute and expecting a miracle out of him in the end. I still have loads of homework to catch up on and laundry : D (that's suppose to be a big fat tongue.) I wanted to catch up with my summer because it seemed to just fly by, so I will be quick. We had lots of visitors. Jason went to school this summer. My parents came the end of July t hen my sister Glenda came with her two girls the first part of August and Joshua my nephew came around the same time. It was a lot of fun having so much family around; one of the highlights was my dad, my brother Nathan, and Joshua speed walk racing down some street in Orem. I was laughing so hard I almost peed my pants - which is common. Nathan won!! But I think he thought he was having a heart attack afterward. We also got to go to the Zoo and everyone was so helpful with my kids. We saw a snake eat a rabbit which was pretty interesting and the bird show was way cool. I have gone to the zoo several times but have never seen the bird show it was totally worth it. Here is a few pictures at the Zoo. It was hard to separate Cassidy and Josh, it was like they were attached at the hip. In the picture below you can see that Cassidy's giving Lilly the "evil eye" for stealing Josh away from her.
